Old School Saloon & Bistro, New Haven, CT

So, last Saturday night was another great night at Old School.  Great food, drinks, people...and as always, the best atmosphere & live music.

Nestled on the corner of State & Court Streets, the warm lighting, the sounds of the band playing through the windows & the smiling faces are so inviting that you can't pass this place by.

Every time I step foot through the doors I can't help but feel good. The vibe is just GOOD. Between the vintage decor - the old photos & albums, the sounds of happiness and fabulous musical talent - this place is a gift for the senses. Then there is the aroma of Chef Jeff's culinary creations - it's like a symphony in itself that makes you float with delight, to the table, high top or bar stool that awaits you.

Old School gives you the best of both worlds - a great casual bar area with perfectly mixed cocktails, appetizers, sandwiches, burgers or the cozy dining room where you can sit & savor a five star meal.  Either choice is the Right Choice.
The bands that play are definitely well chosen.  I usually go to see George Baker, but have also been to see Those Guys and A Brief Episode.  I definitely trust their musical picks based on those three bands alone, and want nothing more than to go back for more.

Old School is my newest Favorite Place, so stay tuned, as I am sure I will have much more to rave about in the very near future.
